It will stay unnoticed if there are no quality articles which will capture the interest of a potential reader. On the other hand, a blog with quality content has two benefits: One is that it can attract numerous potential readers, and the other one is that, it can attract high-paying relevant ads. As we know it, ads that matches your content (or somehow relevant with it) can help you in terms of increasing your CTR (click-through-rate). The more relevant the ads displayed on your blog, the higher the chances it will be clicked by the reader.
For those who doesn't know, Google uses cookies which is saved in browser which track user's search words or phrase on their search engine which is then used by Google to deliver targeted ads and visitors to the blog. This just prove the fact that providing relevant and good content on your blog determines the sort of ads you received.

2. Proper Ads Selection, Placement and Blending
The moment you are certain that you have quality content, the next thing you need to do is to select the ideal ad unit(s) and blend it naturally to your template. So far, the highest performing ad units are the 300 x 250 medium rectangle place as text ads on the left side of the post body, 160 x 600 wide skyscraper placed on the sidebar, and the 728 x 90 leaderboard placed on the header. While in terms of ads blending, I suggest that you choose a template with white as its background, blue for its links and has black text for its body post so that you can opt your ad unit as follow: border=white, title=blue, background=white, text=black and url=black. Also, take note that your ad unit must be borderless as it tends to work well, as does highlighting the link and URL.
