Cabal 2 NPC: Items and Consumables
Hello guys! another update from Cabal 2 has been seen! This time, thanks to Dawn from Cabal 2 Source blog, we will know the different items and consumables sold from the different NPC of Cabal 2. Here is the article created by Dawn:
Since the game mechanics differ in many ways from the previous sequel, Dawn from Cabal 2 Source website has decided to create a basic guide to the essentials of Cabal 2. In this guide we will see the merchant types and their sold items closely.
There are several types of NPC's selling items in towns. The 3 basic types are the 'Merchant', 'Blacksmith' and the 'Innkeeper'. Additionally we can find the 'Instructor' too who sells the skills to the characters, the 'Port Agent' where we can access our 'Stash' and the Auction House lady who helps us trading through the AH in Cabal 2.
The merchant
(Alchemist?)
He/she sells basic HP/MP regeneration items and bags. To understand the regeneration process, we take a look on the items type that can apply effects like this.
At first all HP and MP potions are regenerating HP/MP over time with a specified value for a certain seconds. So we don't get instant potions from scratch. After a while we can craft or purchase instant healing potions from players.
We can use HP Bags too, that can regenerate a great number of HP and MP points, but we need to escape to a safe area to use them.
A new item is the 'Elixir' potion (purple), that can regen or instant heal HP and! MP. We can craft or purchase those too.
According to players it's way cheaper to craft potions then to buy them from NPC's. There are various levels of each potion, and higher potions levels require higher character level to use with increased potion effect of course.
Innkeeper
The 'Innkeeper' sells basic food supply that can help to lower level chars with buff like boosts. (No restriction in stacking them on each other.) Let's see the food items sold in her shop.
Sausage = +30 Physical Defense
Sandwich = 4 HP/Sec recovery
Raspberry = +15 Magic Resistance
Apple = 4 MP/Sec recovery
Dragon fruit = +10 Accuracy (like attack rate in C1)
Beer = +5 Physical Damage
Doughnut = +20 Max HP
Apple Wine = +5 Magical Damage
Chocolate = +20 Max MP
Nettle Wine = +5 Healing
Blacksmith
He sells armors and weapons with basic stats. Buy from him if there is no other way. On lower levels mobs drop those armors very often so use his services only for selling items.
Instructor
In every town the instructor sells the new spells for your character. Similar to the Blacksmith, you can buy only items that fit you characters class.
After you purchased a Skill Book you must right click it in your inventory to learn it.
Auction House
This function is very similar to the previous sequel. We can buy, filter and sell items from players - to players very easily.
Special items
There are several special items that we can craft or buy. For example there are special return stones that can teleport you to special locations on the map like dungeon entrances. Regeneration scrolls can regenerate HP or MP faster on your character for a certain time. And so on.
Summary
A wide range of craft-able and consumable items will surely add to the game mechanics. Cabal 2 focuses more on the HP regen then on the instant HP heal at the beginning of your characters journey, so you won't use much potion at first. It will be much simpler to sit down and wait for your points to recover.
