Sea Dragon Nest Survival Guide: Stage 1 (Cannon Islet)
Hello everyone! Welcome again to another Dragon Nest SEA guide. This time, I will give you some tips on how to survive the new dungeon in DN SEA, the Sea Dragon Nest. As we know it, SDN is very new in the game and, it's very hard to finish as the level cap for the game is only at 40 making the mobs, mini-bosses and Serpenta very tough to beat. But don't worry, I'm telling you now, you can survive SDN with the a great strategy I have discovered.
Before we proceed to the first guide (which is the cannon islet guide), let me jot down some recommendations or should I say, important notes that you must read before diving in to the Sea Dragon Nest. Here it is:
- At the current state of DN SEA, no one can survive SDN alone. It's recommended to be with the recommended party which is 8. Don't go if you're not complete because you'll definitely get beat up in stage 1 alone.
- In the party, it is suggested that you will have 2 priest with both miracle relic, 2 mercenaries for their debuffing howls, one paladin that can tank, at least one force user for their beyond time skills and other great skills that can help in hindering the powerful attacks of the mini-bosses and, the rest will be consist of damager. You can go with a sword master or an elemental lord with massive damage.
- NEVER, I mean NEVER party those people who doesn't know the meaning of teamwork. Surviving SDN needs a lot of teamwork and you need everyone to do their assigned task. I suggest that you go with your friends or even with your guild mates when diving into the Sea Dragon Nest.
- Your party members must be fully geared! Don't invite those who wears blue equips because they will become dead weights! All of the members must have all their equips at +10 or above.
Now you know what you need before diving into SDN, let's then proceed to the guide on surviving the first stage of SDN, which is the Cannon Islet.
Undoubtedly, wave 1 and 2 of the stage is the easiest part. The only thing that you must bear in mind is that all of you must hit (with the use of your cannon of course) all the mobs that are advancing towards your party. It is suggested that warriors and priest operate the cannons at the front (1st row) while the other members at the back (2nd row) because of the fact that warriors and priest has higher physical defense than the other characters in the game.
However, in waves 3-5, you'll need to apply a little strategy. In these waves, the priest(s) in the front row must cast their miracle relic at the center (as shown above) to reduce the damage taken by parties. Also, force user may cast their beyond time skill so that the priest(s) can cast their miracle relic at the final wave. And lastly, if the going gets tough, and large number of monsters are advancing near your party, the Paladin must take center stage and act as a tank (by luring them with his provoke skill).
If you do all of these flawlessly, then you can finish stage 1 (cannon islet) without any problem at all.

How to Operate the Cannon:
- Press left click to operate the cannon and press ESC to go back to normal battle mode.
- When operating the cannon, left click to use normal cannon shot (1sec cd) and right click for a more powerful charged attack ( 10+sec cd)
- Remember the cannon travels in a projectile manner. Aim higher to hit your target.
- Cannon will not damage your own party members but will flinch them and interrupt their skills.
Lastly, I want you to know the names of the mobs and their corresponding resistance to certain elements. Well, it's always an advantage for the party to know what they're dealing with right? So, I think that it's fair enough to add this in this guide.
Note:
Negative means weakness
Positive means strength
After beating the 5 waves of mobs, all party members must go to the ship to proceed to the next stage of SDN.
