Sea Dragon Nest Survival Guide: Stage 2 (Random Islet)

After cruising on the luxurious ship, you'll be transported randomly in either poison islet or the berserk islet.

How to Survive Poison Islet in Sea Dragon Nest
Poison Islet is a bit tricky as there will be a big hole at the center of the islet that acts like a vacuum. If a player get sucked into the hole, there HP will drop to zero within seconds. If by chance someone got sucked into the big hole, party members must press the two pillars beside the hole. However, it's not that easy to accomplish as there are mobs that will hinder you from doing that. So, I suggest that:
  • Warrior must cast the Highlander skill to ensure that the one that has been dropped into the hole will survive.
  • If your pally has been dropped into the whole, then instruct him to cast Divine Avatar as it will neglect the drop of HP.
  • Holy Shield of Saint (if the magic attack is high enough) will save the person in the hole too. Note, this is only applicable for level 50 characters.
Also, if you're being knocked down all the time, blame that on those purple patch which combust poison gases. Avoid these at any cause at it will knock you down leaving you vulnerable to enemies. And lastly, try to keep your feet off those traps lying around the ground as it will push columns of poison cloud if step on.
Aside from the obstacles mentioned above, your party is required to clear 3 waves of mobs.  The first wave are a bunch of zombies. To defeat them, you must gather around a corner, and just keep on hitting them until they finally die. On the second wave, you will encounter those man-eating plants. They will be spawning all around the islet so I suggest that your party must move in group around the islet and kill them all. The last wave are 4 strong Ogres. Well, there not really that tough. All you need to do is to hit them fast and you'll have no problem in defeating them.

How to Survive Berserk Islet on Sea Dragon Nest

If Poison Islet is considered to be a bit tricky, then Berserk Islet is more trickier. Why? It's because on this Islet, your team must have good eyesight, great timing and most of all, good communication.

The main challenge on this islet is that after a certain countdown, different debuffs will be casted on the whole party. The casting of these debuffs can only be stop by pressing the right combination of switches before the time runs down. Basically, you have to assign four person to stand beside the switches (1 person per switch) and the other four will be at the center brawling with the spawning mobs.

The next thing you should know is,  the right combination of switches. So, how do you exactly know the right combination? Well, it's really simple: Simply observe the mobs that are spawning. For example, the monster's spawn order is Red Gargoyle, followed by Blue monster, then Green Zombie, and lastly White Skeleton. Therefore, the party member will press the red switch first, the blue switch second, third is the green switch and lastly the white one.

Important Note: Sometimes, nailing the right combination isn't that easy. Why? It's because of the poor communication of the group. That's why, I've suggested at the very first part of this guide that you go with your friends in diving into SDN. However, if you are planning on diving into SDN with someone you know in the game or even you're guild mate, you can still nail the right combination by planning ahead "when to press his/her switch". For example: during 7~6 = first person press, 5~4 =second person press, 3-2 = third person press, 1 = final person press. If this is hard, then I suggest that you stick playing with your friends. : )

If you pressed the switches correctly, then you'll be out in Berserk Islet in no time. However, if you always do it wrongfully, the following debuffs will be applied to you and your party members:
  • First debuff: The cooldown of your skill will be 10x slower. Basically, it's the reverse of the buff Time Acceleration.
  • Second debuff: The Attack Power of the party members will be decrease by 50%.
  • Third debuff: Friendly fire. Basically, this debuff will cause your skill to damage your own party member. So don’t attack if you are inflicted with this debuff. Just wait till the debuff is over while running around.

After clearing either Posion Islet or Berserk Islet, a chest will appear which normally drops  2 x 40A armor/weapon + one dragon scale. The dragon scale is an ingredient to craft the Revive Apple (allow you to revive once in sea dragon nest) and Dragon Scale Soup ( allow you to survive the lethal dragon’s breath attack). And then, you can head to the next stage to defeat the Lava Golem.
