Pokemon Go Officially Coming to Mobiles Next Month
At the E3 expo, Nintendo had officially announced that their augmented reality game for iOs and android, Pokemon Go, will be out in July.
In addition to the release date, the developer also said that they are developing features to enable trading monsters, but that they won’t be available at launch. It added that there will eventually be some kind of integration between the mobile title and Pokémon Sun and Moon, the upcoming games for the Nintendo 3DS portable console.
Pokémon Go sees players exploring their cities in the search for Pokémon, using their phones to spot these creatures in the wild using AR tech and location info. You’ll also be able to discover Gyms to train your monsters and secure special items like Pokémon eggs at places of interest such as museums and monuments. For those who haven't got a clue what is Pokemon Go, then you can watch the video below:
Lastly, Nintendo mentioned about a Pokemon Go Plus (the one you see at the video @ 0:32) which is a bluetooth-enabled wristband that vibrates, lights up and lets you perform in-game actions like locating and catching nearby Pokémon. It will be available soon after the Pokemon Go launch and will cost $34.99 (WTF! That's as much as a 3DS game!)
Although Nintendo did not give the details on what day it will be release in July, but I'm hoping for a first week release. Rest assured that I'll keep you updated!
