It Looks Like We Need to Wait Another 4 Years Before We Can See "The Elder Scrolls 6"
Bethesda usually releases a new TES every 4 years, so when Bethesda didn't release 'The Elder Scrolls 6' last year we're all a bit perplexed. However it seems like we'll still have to wait another 4 years before we can see 'The Elder Scrolls 6'.
Here's the latest on 'Elder Scrolls 6' release date, news, and updates.
Previously, the Telegraph had an interview with Pete Hine who actually confirmed that 'Elder Scrolls 6' is actually in the works. And lo and behold, he actually said 'Skyrim 2'. All rumors that 'Elder Scrolls 6' is going to be based off of Morrowind or Oblivion is now debunked.
In the interview he said, "It's rare to have franchises like the ones we have and to have people joking about 'when is Skyrim 2 coming out?' The reason they say that is because generally speaking that's what you'd be getting with another publisher in charge. They'd be spitting out a Skyrim 2 the year after or two years later. That's just not how we view it. We're not the sort of publisher that focuses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015'."
He continued saying, "We do smaller stuff, we don't publish to scale, we try to publish to quality. Make sure everything we do is noteworthy. Our approach to that hasn't differed. Here and there we might change our approach to how it's presented but we've still stuck to who we are."
Recently, Pete Hine had an interview with DualShockers at the Gamescom 2015, and in the interview, he clarified that 'Elder Scrolls 6' or 'Skyrim 2' won't be happening anytime soon. According to the report, "Hines mentioned that he doesn't think we're close to hear about the next Elder Scrolls. Currently Bethesda is working on Fallout 4, and that takes the entire studio, which is 100% focused on it."
Ás it is not Bethesda's way to split teams, it seems like we'll be seeing "Elder Scrolls 6' updates by 2017, since there's Fallout 4 and of course DLCs to be released on the game afterwards. Since Bethesda releases a new Elder Scrolls every 4 years, it seems like we'll be seeing TES 6 by 2019.
When it comes to the location of the game, there's still a debate between Elsweyr and Valenwood. When it comes to the title of 'Elder Scrolls 6', there's a debate between 'Argonia' and 'Redguard' or simply 'Skyrim 2'. Since there's already a game called, 'The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard', you can now scratch off Redguard from your list.
It's been a while since Bethesda has released a single-player game; and since people are requesting for 'Elder Scrolls 6' to be a multiplayer game; I highly doubt that Bethesda will allow for the 'Elder Scrolls 6' to join the multiplayer bandwagon.
