Human Body Parts: What Are You Worth?

This might be the most odd question I've ever asked a person but here it goes, "Did you know how much your body worth? What I mean is, if you'd finally be dead, how much will your whole ensemble cost or, how much will a person earn if he/she sell's his/her body parts off piece-by-piece? I know this kind of creepy but hey, it's worth knowing.

The infographic that you can see at the right [click here to view it in high-res] is lifted from the pages of a May, 2007 issue of Esquire Magazine. And also the designer of the work Peter Grundy, provides the price in pounds sterling every part of your human body that is salable.

"Today's scientists have rejected graverobbing in favour of human tissue recovery agencies, companies that collect and supply body parts for research," reads the original, annotated diagram.

"Since the UK's Human Tissue Act 2004 clarified the law, tissue recovery has become a lucrative and (mostly) legitimate industry, turning over millions of pounds a year."

In addition, in the original infographics, the designer noted that the estimated sum of your body parts is £31,918 which is equivalent to a Mercedez Benz SLK-Class 280, three (3) bedroom house in Lovetech, Bulgaria and 14 nights at the luxury Altamer resort on the British West Indian Island of Anguilla.
